I attended Beddingfield High in Wilson, NC from 2014-2018. During my tenure, I stood among the Top 10 academic students of my graduating class for all four years, graduating with a 4.6 weighted GPA. I served as Student Body President and participated in extracurricular activities, as well as served in the City of Wilson Youth Council. In 2018, I was recognized as “Student of the Future” by the NAACP for my community service and academic accolades.

I embarked on my journey at NC A&T SU in 2018, majoring in Journalism & Communications with a concentration in Mass Media Production, and a minor in English. During my tenure, I maintained a 3.0+ GPA and held roles during every semester of college while taking 18-21 credits. Throughout college, I was able to work for companies like Spotify, Fender MIC, Culture Fusion Agency, and The Divah Filez, using my academic training to hone my mass media skills and gain experience in the creative and communications fields. I graduated in May of 2022 with my Bachelor of Science.

Working for both the Social Impact and Global Branding teams, I contributed to over eight different campaigns during the height of the pandemic. Some of which include the Play Your Part campaign that assisted in gathering votes for the 2020 election, Spotify Donation Match, and more. I also pioneered the concept and design for the Spotify Wellness Hub.

Working as a PR/Communications Specialist, I completed press releases, project decks, and editorial work. I provided all of the competitor reports for each sub-brand of Fender, ran social media pages for Fender Play, and handled timelines, lookbooks, briefing sheets and other materials. I also assisted with MI, identifying and researching new media targets for future campaigns and brand deals.

I was initially hired as a Content Strategist/Creator, but was promoted to Marketing Manager after three months. I created all content, ran all social media pages, rebranded style guides, traveled to film/edit content for PD sessions & conferences, completed all editorial work, and controlled the company website.

As a Hottrax Music Journalist, I wrote six articles weekly for the publication covering the latest music news/pop culture events. I Interviewed music artists and public figures. I also partnered with TVOne & Lifetime for two of their biopic premieres for coverage.

As a Campus A&R/Journalist, I participated in artist promotional campaigns, curated playlists and editorial articles for the website, as well as edited videos for social media content and pop-up events around campus.

My journey with Spotify began in 2019 when I entered the annual “The Opening Act Challenge” which presented a set of categories to strategize a solution to a particular issue. Out of 115 applicants, I won the “Social Impact” category, in which I successfully created a solution to help women in the audio industry gain more exposure. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic outbreak, my winning project was scrapped. This led to me pioneering the concept and design for the “Spotify Wellness Hub.” I was inspired by the mass unemployment rates that led to a lot of people losing their healthcare benefits. I’m a firm believer in various types of audio being successfully used as coping mechanisms, so the concept stemmed from giving Spotify consumers an outlet for their mental health wellness. The hub is now entering its 4th year of being on the platform and is highly accoladed by loyal Spotify users daily.

After graduating from NC A&T SU, I took my creativity and passion for creating content to the nonprofit tech education industry, leaving the realm of entertainment news and music. I became the Social Media Strategist/Content Creator for BootUp PD in August of 2022 and quickly scaled my way up the ladder with my Gen Z approach to rebranding the company’s social media presence and content marketing.


After losing my entire team by Dec 2022, I was promoted to Marketing Manager, taking on the tasks of a team on my own. I became the website manager, handled any editorial work/press releases, continued to create and release new forms of content and campaigns, and traveled to film/edit the content of PD sessions and education conferences, etc. In May of 2023, a new Executive Director was appointed, which ultimately led to the downfall of my role.


I dealt with insufferable micromanagement, age discrimination, and the defunding of all vital software I used to create and schedule content. I was terminated from BootUp PD due to budget cuts at the beginning of August 2023 and have been searching for a new company home ever since.
